Browsing the site

There are no accounts, adverts or analytics trackers, and the site sets no cookies. Like any website, the hosting server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, browser type and time) for security and troubleshooting. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your IP address when the map is shown. Fonts are served from this site.

Some pages remember convenience settings, such as the districts you are comparing or calculator assumptions, in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Property data

The statistics are built from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data and other public sources. This site publishes aggregated figures for postcode districts. It does not publish lists of individual sales, and it never infers the finances of a household from its address.

Email updates

If you subscribe to the market review emails, your email address is held by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) as our processor. Mailchimp stores data in the United States under its data transfer safeguards. Emails contain standard open and click tracking. The mailing list is shared with related property and planning websites run by the same operator, and each email says which site you signed up on. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email; we keep your address until you unsubscribe. The legal basis is your consent.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Reply to any email from us to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
